FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE

The Lux Pictura Research Institute is the theoretical core of our institute, because in addition to providing practical photographic services, we believe in preserving cultural heritage, supporting and exploring photographic practices and processes, and raising awareness of photography among a wider audience. Only by looking at the past in a holistic way can we have a realistic view of the present and learn and grow from the contact between them. We invite you to share your knowledge, experience and join us in one of our emerging projects.
 

RESEARCH PROJECTS

Research projects related to the history of photography allow us to get in touch with our past and raise questions about a bygone era through the lens of modern man.

PUBLISHING

We support photography through publishing projects of photomonographs by young authors, professional monographs on photography, and assistance in the publication of freelance publications.

SERVICES

Our scanning, developing, portrait and equipment repair services enable the further popularisation of analogue and alternative photography.

 
 

WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS

By organising lectures and practical workshops led by world experts, we create a community space where artists can develop themselves by learning new techniques and ways of presenting their work.

PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL

Photography must live with the community and a photography festival is a good way to weave links between photographers, enthusiasts and the wider public.
